UPDATE: Family mourns death of woman shot to death early Friday during vigil - KTNV Las Vegas

Arkendra Taylor's family called her Kikaboo. HAPPENING NOW: Friends and family of Arkedra Taylor, shot and killed early Friday, are gathering to remember her legacy in the community and call for justice.They called her Kikaboo.Police are asking for any information as to who may have killed her. pic.twitter.com/CE9qHoygW4— @SeanKTNV (@seanktnv) May 26, 2019 News of Taylor's death left her god-sister Angela Poole in disbelief."She was a mother and a grandmother," Poole said, "it's just so sad that we have to get together like this to lay somebody to rest who didn't deserve any of this."Taylor's sister-in-law Brittany Jones said dozens of people came to Taylor's vigil because she meant a lot to the community.Jones called Taylor the linchpin of the family."She brought everyone together," Jones said, "she cooked meals for us. She brought everybody together, and it's heartbreaking that she's not here anymore."Police have not named or released a description of the person who shot Taylor in the head, killing her, leaving her loved ones desperate for answers."If anybody got answers," Poole said, "if you can come forward with anything, we just need to know what happened to her. It's not fair that e lay down at night and not know."Taylor's family is accepting donations to help pay for her funeral costs.They said they will be hosting bucket drives at corner stores in northern and western Las Vegas, and donations can be made to the Serenity Funeral Home under Arkendra Taylor's name.UPDATE 2:45 P.M. The Clark County coroner has identified the woman who was shot and killed as 43-year-old Arkedra Shamona Taylor, no city of residence listed. The official cause of death is gunshot wound to the head.
